1/4 cup shortening
1 cup self-rising flour
1/2 cup sweet milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening then add egg. Add flour alternately with milk then vanilla. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes.

Top with Caramel Topping (see icing recipe)
