4 cups brown sugar
1 cup cream or evaporated milk
1 cup butter (2 sitcks)

Cook butter in icing. Cook until forms ball. (at least 15 minutes)

(use 1 small can milk and 3-1/2 cups brown sugar - enough for 1 cake)

Caramel Icing Plain Milk
1 box brown sugar
3/4 cup sweet milk
1 tbsp vanilla
1 stick butter

Put sugar and milk on stove. Start cooking on medium heat. When it starts to boil put on Medium High temperature. Stir constantly. When it will harden in cold water, take off stove. Put vanilla and butter and beat until thick enough to spread.

Let cake layers cool for 2 hours before icing.
