4 cups flour (plain)
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup crisco - melted
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 pkg yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add sifted dry ingredients to buttermilk and melted crisco. Add yeast mixture. Let rise 45 minutes. Put in refrigerator. Will keep for 1 week.

30 minutes to 1 hour before baking time, roll out and cut biscuits. Butter tops and let stand at room temperature. Bake in hot oven at 400º
