1 c. Crisco, room temperature
3 c. sugar, room temperature
6 eggs, room temperature; well beaten
1 c. milk, room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla extract, room temperature
1 tsp. lemon extract, room temperature
2-1/2 c. all-purpose flour, room temperature
1/2 c. self-rising flour, room temperature

Note: Have all ingredients at room temperature.

Preheat oven to 300º. Bake in greased tube pan.

In a bowl, cream Crisco and sugar.
Add eggs; beat well.
Sift all-purpose and self-rising flours together twice to make sure to have only 3 c. (not packed tightly).
Put flavorings in milk and mix well; add to mixture.
Starting with milk and alternate between milk and flour, ending with milk, add to mixture beating well after each addition.
Pour batter into prepared greased tube pan.
Bake in 300º oven for 2 hours.
