1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 cup salad oil
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
2 eggs
5 cups flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, oil, salt and vanilla. After measuring, sift dry ingredients together, then mix with creamed mixture. Roll into balls. Roll ball in sugar and smash down with fork, decorative cookie marker or bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake 10 minutes in 350º oven or until lightly brown on edges. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
