2 tablespoons crushed black pepper
Sirloin steak 1 inch thick
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon unsweetened ketchup
1 tablespoon cognac (brandy)
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Press cracked peppercorns onto both sides of steaks.
Heat Oil in heavy skillet over medium high heat until very hot.
Cook steaks on both sides for 5 minutes for rare.
Lower flame to low. Place lid over skillet and continue cooking until desired doneness.
Remove from skillet.

In skillet add all other ingredients, bring to boil and stir to loosen browned bits on bottom.
Cook over low heat for two minutes to thicken.
Pour over steaks.
