2 quarts water
2 chicken legs
1 piece of white meat (breast)
1 tbsp salt to taste
3 bay leaves
½ small onion and black pepper
¼ cup small chopped carrot
Parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Heat all ingredients in a pot, simmer til chicken is done (2-3 hours). Remove chicken from broth and add parsley (tied in a bunch) to soup. Cook fine egg noodles. Pull apart chicken when cool enough to handle and add back into soup.

Refrigerate the broth and then before reheating remove all the solid fat at the top of the broth.

Oma always keeps the noodles out of the soup and adds only as needed to specific bowls. Soup is not stored with noodles - noodles swell and suck up all the juices.
