1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup butter
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp cloves
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, oil and sugar together. Add the eggs. Add the dry ingredients that have been mixed together. Roll in long strips on cookie sheet, 15 x 4 inches. Bake for 20 minutes at 350. Take out of the oven and let stand for 2 minutes. Slice on an angle . Turn on their side and bake for 10 min or until light brown. Flip and do the same on the other side.

This is an old Greek family recipe that is one of my favorites. It takes time to make and I usually double the recipe. They are great with coffee and stay fresh for a long time.
