1 cup butter (2 sticks)
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour milk & 1 tsp soda (or use 1 cup sweet milk & 1 tsp baking powder)
1 cup blackberry jam
3-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 tbsp cocoa

Directions:

Cream sugar, butter, - add eggs, add spices - add milk, add baking powder, add Jam then flour gradually.

Bake 25 minutes in moderate oven 350 or 375

Ice with Caramel Icing
