1 whole Chicken
seasonings of your choice

6 Cups Four
1 Tbsp Shortening
Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Boil whole chicken until falling off the bone. Remove chicken and pick the meat off the bones, set aside.
Make biscuit dough of the flour, shortening and just enough milk to make a dough. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface and cut into squares. Add salt and pepper to broth, bring back to slow boil and drop in dough squares, then add your chicken back in. Let simmer until dumplings are done.

Sherry says to make broth richer add milk and a little butter before bringing back to a boil.
