2 gallons snapped green beans
1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
cup plain (not iodized) salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, vinegar and salt and bring to boil.
Heat beans in enough water to cover.
Add vinegar mix and bring to boil for 45 minutes.
Put into sterilized jars and lids and seals

When you open these beans to serve, drain off the liquid and add water. They may need to cook nearly an hour. Season as you would any other green bean.
