4 Tbsp margarine
1 chopped onion
1 ½ C chopped ham
1/2 clove garlic
4 Tbsp flour
1 tsp parsley
3 C sauerkraut ( drained and chopped)
1 egg
2 C milk
Bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine in frying pan and brown chopped onion slightly. Add ham and garlic and brown slightly. Stir in flour and cook. Add sauerkraut and parsley. Cook a few minutes. This should be a stiff paste. Chill then Form into balls about 1 inch diameter. Beat 1 egg and 2 cups milk. Dip balls into egg, milk then bread crumbs and fry in deep fat. Add more bread crumbs if they do not hold.

This is one of my favorite recipes from Grandma T. She used to make these every year with leftover Christmas ham. Mmmmmm.....So tastefully delicious!
