1½ c. sugar
¼ c. all-purpose flour
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. nutmeg
3½ c. rhubarb cut into ½inch pieces
1 c. strawberry slices

Pastry for two crust 9inch pie

1T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Combine sugar, flour, salt & nutmeg. Add fruit mixing well; let stand for 20 minutes. Spoon into 9inch pie shell. Dot with butter, moisten edge, adjust top crust; flute edge.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until done, serve slightly warm.

I also like to use a pastry brush to apply a milk wash to enhance the browning of the top crust.
