Ingredients:
10-12 lg - med. Peeled Sliced Potatoes
2 Sticks Butter
1 Chopped Onion

Shortcut version:
1 bag Frozen Hash Browns
½-⅔ Stick of Butter
½C. Chopped onion
Salt & Pepper to taste.

Directions:
Directions:
Line two aluminum pie tins with large overlapping pieces of foil. Spray foil with cooking spray. Place ⅓ stick of butter sliced into bottom of each pan. Add a layer of potatoes, then chopped onion, salt & pepper in pan. (Omit the onion if you don't like onion) Add another ⅓ of the butter sliced on top. Add another layer of potatoes, onion salt pepper & remaining ⅓ of butter. Wrap excess foil over potatoes. Cook potatoes on grill 45-60 minutes stirring several times to prevent bottom from burning. When potatoes are very soft but not mushy they are ready.

For oven baking, layer in a sprayed oblong baking dish covered with foil. Bake 1 hour or until very soft & lightly brown on the bottom at 350 degrees.

This recipe works well with half of the butter called for, although the added butter adds flavor.
