2 large or 3 small (1 c.) mashed bananas
2 c. flour
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking powder
¾ tsp. baking soda
½ c. oleo (soft)
1½ c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, unbeaten
¼ c. sour milk or buttermilk

Pre-heat oven to 350º
Grease and flour two 9" cake pans or a 9"X13"X2" inch pans.
Sift together: flour,salt, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
In large mixer bowl, cream together oleo, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Add sour milk.
Add sifted flour mixture alternately with mashed bananas, while beating.
Scrape bowl and beat only enough to blend - about 2 minutes.
Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake at 350º 30-35 minutes.
Cool.
Fill and top with Cool Whip©.

Grandma claims that his was one of Grandpas favorites and he didn't want anything on it. She also shared that it can be baked in two loaf pans and used for a breakfast treat.
