¾ C sugar
½ C butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 C molasses
2½ C flour
½ tsp salt
1½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
⅛ tsp mace
1 C buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and butter. Blend in eggs and molasses.
2. Sift together dry ingredients.
3. Stir dry ingredients into first mixture alternating with buttermilk.
4. Pour batter into a greasaed 9 X 12 inch pan.
5. Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes

Tastes GREAT with a dollop of fresh whipped cream!
