2 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
2 tsp. syrup
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 tsp.vanilla
¾ c. graham cracker crumbs
chopped nuts or coconut for rolling logs in

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, evaporated milk and syrup together in saucepan and boil, stirring often, to firm soft ball stage when dropped in cold water.
Remove from heat and add nuts, dates, vanilla and graham cracker crumbs.
Let stand without stirring until lukewarm.
Beat until it holds its shape.
Shape into a log and roll in chopped nuts or coconut.
Wrap rolls in waxed paper.
Store in refrigerator. Slice when ready to use.
