2 cups warm water
1 pkg dry yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
Self rising flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 2 cups luke warm water. Mix egg in water and yeast. Cream sugar and shortening then add to water. Add flour. (If using plain four add baking powder. Add enough flour to make a thick batter. Leave out for 1 hour then place in refrigerator until time to cook. Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before you are going to cook. Bake at 400 for 15 - 20 minutes.
