2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp shortening
3/4 cup buttermilk
3-3/4 cups sifted all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
10X sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat 2 eggs well. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar and beat. Stir in 2 tbsp shortening and 3/4 cup buttermilk. Add 3-3/4 cups sifted all purpose flour - sifted in the 2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp, salt, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg. Chill dough, Roll out 1/3 inch thick and cut. Fry in hot grease at 375 to 400.

Glaze - use 1/2 or 3/4 cup water and add 10X sugar until thick enough to dip donuts in. (Do NOT use milk).
