1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. soda in 1 T. hot water
About 5 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg and other spices
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Add molasses, mixed with hot water and soda. Add flour and pecans. Shape into rolls and chill.

Slice and bake at 350º for about 12-15 minutes. Cool.
