cup warm water
1 Tablespoon dry yeast
cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups sifted flour
1 egg
cup shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water in mixing bowl. Add sugar, salt and about half of the flour. Beat thoroughly 2 minutes. Add egg and shortening. Gradually beat in remaining flour until smooth. Let rise in bowl 40-50 minutes in a warm place. Stir batter down and drop into greased muffin cups. Let rise 30 minutes until double in size. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Makes 1 dozen.
