2 Tbsp. Butter
2 Tbsp. Flour
1 cup Milk

1½ cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Salt & pepper to taste (optional)

Directions:
Melt butter in a sauce pan, whisk flour into butter until smooth. Pour milk into butter mixture and stir with a wooden spoon to combine. Cook and stir until thickened, about 3 minutes. Add cheese and stir until melted, about 3 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper if desired.

*This is a basic white sauce, with the cheese added to make the perfect sauce for broccoli and cauliflower.
For peas, carrots,corn,or any vegetable that a white sauce goes well on, leave out the cheese and add a bit of garlic powder to kick it up a notch.
