Chocolate Dipped Strawberries Recipe

Ingredients: 24 oz. pkg Chocolate Flavored Bark Coating
2-3 pounds strawberries
Optional additions include coconut, white chocolate, and finely chopped nuts!

Directions:Put water in the bottom of a double boiler and put several blocks of chocolate bark in the top boiler. Heat until the chocolate begins to melt. Stir constantly in order to avoid scorching. Add more chocolate until at least half of the package is in the top boiler and melting.
Have a large sheet of wax paper or parchment paper out on the counter to put strawberries on after they are dipped.
Hold each strawberry by the stem or green leaves and dip into the hot chocolate to coat, being very careful not to get your fingers in the hot chocolate.
Place strawberry on the wax paper and continue until all have been dipped. You may use the spoon to help coat the strawberries.
As each strawberry is dipped, you can roll in shredded coconut or chopped nuts.
White chocolate bark can be heated the same way and you can put it in a plastic bottle with a pointed top and squiggle back and forth to make white lines across each chocolate strawberry. This process can be done in reverse to have white chocolate strawberries with chocolate lines across.
You can also dip your favorite fruit such as the apple slices in the photo. |
