Maple Cookies Recipe

1/2 cup butter, room temp
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp. of real maple syrup (grade B preferably)
2 cps flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream butter ad sugar until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and egg, mix until well incorporated.
Add the maple syrup and mix well.

In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda nd salt.
slowly add flour mixture to the butter mixture.
Fold in walnuts.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes

Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper..
Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned around edges.
Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
