2 c boiling water
1/2 c sugar
1 T. salt
2 T. shortening
2 cakes yeast or two 1/4 oz dry yeast
1/4 c warm water
2 eggs beaten
7-8 c sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together boiling water, salt, sugar and shortening. Cool until mixture is lukewarm. Soften yeast in 1/4 c. water and add to mixture. Add eggs. Stir in 4 cups flour and beat until smooth. Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff dough. Cover with waxed paper and put in refrigerator.
Shape desired number of rolls and place on greased pan and let rise until doubled in size (1- 1 1/2 hour). Bake at 425º for 15-20 minutes.
