6 large eggs
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups sliced hazelnuts or almonds
2 tsp. baking powder
Dipping chocolate

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream sugar and eggs together. Add salt. Sift flour and baking powder and add all at once to egg. Stir just to blend. Add half of nuts to mixture. Spoon mixture lengthwise onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or greased. Shape into "log(s)". Make logs 6" in height. Take half of remaining nuts and press into the tops of log(s). Allow to sit for 10 minutes at room temperature before baking. Bake for about 20 minutes or until center of log springs back when touched. Remove from oven and let cool thoroughly. Cut logs into strips crosswise about 1/2". Place each cut side down onto parchment paper cookie sheet. Bake again for about 15 min. or until lightly browned on edges. Cool & dip half into chocolate, then sprinkle with nuts. Allow to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
