Personal Notes:
Somehow one of my dearest, funniest and most loved friends managed to get through two bouts of cancer and chemotherapy with her sense of humor intact. This recipe emerged during her first diagnosis when I was with her during her second and third rounds of chemo. By then, she mostly lived on smoothies and some soups. I wonder if her love of smoothies may be somewhat diminished but her sense of humor has not. I loved this one.
