2 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/3 cup butter
6 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups plain flour
1/6 tsp soda
dash of salt
1/3 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add 2 eggs one at a time and beat well. Add vanilla to mixture. Sift flour, salt and soda together. Add milk and flour mixture alternately. Beat thoroughly. Pour into well greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
