2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 stick oleo
1/2 cup crisco
4 Tbsp cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together in large bowl 2 cups sugar and 2 cups flour.

Put in sauce pan 1 stick oleo, 1/2 cup crisco, 4 tbsp cocoa, 1 cup water and bring to rapid boil; stir into the sugar mixture.

Mix together 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp soda, 2 eggs, slightly beaten. Mix into other ingredients.

Pour into greased 11 X 16 pan or 9 X13 pan. Bake 15 to 18 minutes at 400 degrees or 350 for 30 minutes.

For icing start 5 minutes before cake is done. Melt together 1 stick oleo, 4 tbsp cocoa, 6 tbsp pet milk. Bring to boil and remove from heat. Add 1 box powdered sugar, 1 cup pecans, 1 tsp vanilla. Beat well and spread over cake while it is hot. Leave in pan to ice.
