Ingredients:  
1 15oz. can Tomato Sauce
2 tbsp. Shortening
4 tbsp. Flour
4 c. Tomato Juice (Cocktail)
1 tsp. Salt

1 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 c. Uncooked Rice
1 Beaten Egg
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
2 tbsp. Chopped Onion
2/3 c. Tomato Sauce

6 Large Bell Peppers

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Melt Shortening and add Flour. Simmer mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until light brown color. Slowly add tomato Juice, stirring constantly. Add Salt and simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix Ground Beef, Uncooked Rice, a beaten Egg, Salt, Pepper, Onion and Tomato Sauce.
Combine all ingredients. Mix well.
Stuffed Peppers - Pour remaining Sauce over Peppers.
Bake for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs.
