Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 bunches of collard, turnip, and mustard greens, rinsed, trimmed, and chopped.
1 pound of smoked turkey, chopped (leg, wing, or tail)
4cups of water and 4 cup chicken broth
1 large onion, cut in half and sliced
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 tablespoon of Kosher salt
1 tablespoon of black pepper *
2 tablespoons of your favorite Cajun seasoning
salt & pepper to taste
1/4 cup of sugar (add more or less according to taste)
1 tablespoons of red pepper flakes
1/2 cup Jalapeño (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Dump the greens, smoked turkey wings or tails, onions, and water into the pot and bring to a boil. Allow to cook on medium heat for about 60 minutes. The greens should be fragrant and they should have cooked down some.
HINT: If you adjust your cooking time, the stems can be just as soft as the greens.
**Also, remember, many people add the seasoning while cooking, but it’s important to add the seasoning AFTER.**
2. After 60 minutes, add all the seasonings and jalapeños, along with more water, if needed. Allow the collard greens to cook on simmer for about 10. Then serve and enjoy warm.

*may have to adjust the amount of pepper. Use less if necessary.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
My wife love herself some collard, and this recipe that I found , in 2016, combines the three main greens together, collards, turnips, and mustards. She tried them and loved them. I tried them, and ummm ummm good!
