4 slices bacon
2 6.5 oz.cans clams
1 bay leaf
2 cloves garlic
1 onion
2 tbsp. parsley, fresh
2 russet potatoes
1 cup vegetable stock
3 tbsp. all purpose flour
1 tbsp. kosher salt and pepper
2 tbsp. butter, unsalted
1 cup half n half
1 cup milk

Directions:

Heat large pot over medium heat high. Add bacon and cook until crispy. Melt butter. add garlic, onion. stir in thyme. Whisk flour until browned, whisk milk, vegetable stock, clam juice and bay leaf/stir in potatoes. Bring to boil, reduce heat.
