Ingredients: 2 lbs fish steaks (Cod, Haddock, Salmon or Halibut) 6 T butter 1 large clove garlic, split 1/3 cup chopped onion 1/4 tsp tarragon 1 T chopped parsley 1/4 tsp thyme dash nutmeg dash mace 1 tsp salt 2 T lemon juice 3/4 cut fine fresh bread crumbs

Directions:Arrange steaks in a shallow, ovenproof baking dish. Melt butter in a saucepan, add garlic and cook until tender. Remove garlic, add onion and saute a few minutes without browning. Stir in remaining ingredients except bread crumbs. Spoon about half the mixture over the fish steaks. Add crumbs to remaining mixture and spread on top of steaks. Bake in a preheated oven at 400º for 20-25 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
