Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups raw peanuts
2 cups sugar
1 cup white Karo syrup
Pinch salt
1 tbsp baking soda
2 tbsp butter or margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1 buttered cookie sheet

Directions:
Directions:
Combine peanuts, sugar, Karo syrup, and a pinch of salt in a medium size saucepan; cook on medium-medium high heat until peanuts turn brown (almost parched); this usually takes about 10-15 minutes total. Be sure to stir real often and constantly the last 5 minutes as it can burn quickly at the end if you don't watch it.

When the peanut mixture gets to the right color, remove from the heat, add butter, vanilla, and stir real fast. Add baking soda, stir fast; the mixture will foam up. Pour onto the cookie sheet (tilt the cookie sheet till the mixture rolls to the edges)
Let cool until it hardens, and break into pieces and it will keep for several weeks in an airtight container.
