2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
2 T sugar
3 T shortening
1 egg
2/3 C milk (break egg into milk)

Syrup
2 C water
1 1/2 C sugar
Boil while mixing

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar, then add 3 T of shortening and mix like bisquits.
Break one egg into 2/3 C milk then add to flour and mix well. Roll our and put sliced apples on top. roll like jelly roll. Then slice and put in pan of syrup. put cinnamon, sugar and butter on top bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

when I was at the homestead, I found a box of recipes that I "think" were passed between Grandma Dorothy, Great Aunt Nila and Mom. This one was typed, so I am going to assume it was from Nila.
