2 tablespoons clarified butter, extra-virgin coconut oil, olive oil, or a combination
1 teaspoon black or brown mustard seeds
2 t. onion powder
1 t. garlic powder
1 teaspoon Indian curry powder
hot pepper, your choice of type and amount

3 ripe avocados
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, or to taste
1/2 t. salt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro

Directions:

Melt oil and toast mustard seeds until they stop popping. Add onion powder, garlic powder, curry powder, and hot pepper. Cook stirring 15-20 seconds more. Allow to cool.

Mash avocado with lemon juice and salt. Add cooled spice mixture. Mix well. Add chopped coriander. Serve with chips or crackers.
