3 squares bitter baking chocolate
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/16 tsp. cream of tarter
1 cup evaporated milk (undiluted)
1 or 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate over low heat in a heavy saucepan. Stir in sugar, mixed with salt and cream of tartar, gradually. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Continue stirring and cooking until sauce comes to rolling boil. Remove from stove - add vanilla.
