2 sticks butter or margarine
3 cups sugar
6 egg yolks
1/4 tsp soda
1 cup sour cream
3 cups flour, not cake flour
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
6 egg whites
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each addition. Dissolve soda in sour cream; add alternately with flour. Add flavorings. Fold in the egg whites beaten with salt. Pour in a tube pan. Bake in preheated oven at 300 degrees for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
