4 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
2 cuts nuts
2 Tablespoons butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Place 3 cups sugar and milk in a saucepan and cook over low heat.
2. Meanwhile, place the remaining 1 cup sugar in a heavy saucepan or skillet to caramelize.
Cook over low heat until sugar is completely melted ( or caramelized).
3. Now add the caramelized sugar to the sugar and milk mix, stirring constantly.
4. Continue cooking until the soft ball stage, 236 F. is reached.
5. Remove from heat and add salt, nuts, and butter.
6. Beat until creamy.
7. Pour into a well greased 9-inch square pan to cool.
8. Cut into squares.
