Directions:
Mix in a saucepan 2/3 C sugar 1/2 tsp salt, 2 1/2 T cornstarch, 2 heaping T flour. Stir in 3 C milk
Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickens. Before you start cooking above, separate 3 eggs - Save whites for merengue. Put yolks in small bowl and slightly whip. When milk mixture starts to thicken, add some to the yolks, stir, then add yolks and mild mixture to the pan. Continue cooking and stirring or it will become lumpy! When thick, remove from heat. Add 1/2 stick oleo and 1 T vanilla. Let cool. If you want a pie, pour in baked crust or graham cracker crust. Top with beaten egg whites and bake until merengue is brown.

Personal Notes:
This is the pie Aunt Nila made when she came to visit. She added bananas and Keith was in seventh heaven. (He loves pies)
