1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups Quick oatmeal

Filling:
1 12 oz. bag chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand milk
2 T. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix bar ingredients and pat half of it into a greased 9x13 baking pan. Place filling ingredients in a mixing bowl and microwave on low for a few minutes to melt. Pour over the oatmeal layer. Take small amounts of the remaining oatmeal mixture and flatten in your hand (about a palm-size) and lay on the top of chocolate filling - creating a top layer. Repeat until all batter is used and the majority of the chocolate filling is covered. Bake at 350 oven for about 35 minutes.
