1 lb dry chick peas (garbanzos or 19 oz can cooked
3 medium potatoes
3 medium carrots
3 medium onions
1 tsp chopped garlic
1/4 c peanut oil
1/3 c white vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tbsp. dried dill weed or 1/2 c chopped fresh dill

Soak chick-peas overnight. Drain. Cook in boiling salted water 35 min. Canned are ready - just heat. Add pared cubed potatoes and carrots. Cool 10 min. Drain. Saute onion and garlic in oil until tender (three min). Add to warm vegetables. Stir in vinegar, salt, pepper and dill. Serve warm.
