1 cup whipping cream
2⅔ cup finely chopped semi-sweet chocolate
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tbs. dark rum or other liqueur (Amaretto, Frangelico, Grand Marnier or Bailey's), optional

For Dipping:
Cubes of pound cake and brownies
Mini marshmallows
Chunks of strawberries, banana and pineapple
Pretzels

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, slowly heat whipping cream until bubbles form around edge. Remove pan from heat; whisk in chopped chocolate until mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla and, if desired, add rum or liqueur of choice. Transfer mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm over low heat.

For best results, use the best chocolate you can find.

Leftover chocolate mixture can be frozen and used at a later date.
