4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 ¼ cup Crisco
5 cups flour
1 pt Sour Cream
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinc of salt
3 tsp. lemon extract

Frosting:
1 tbsp. softened butter
2 cups Confectionary Sugar
1 tsp. lemon extract
Very little warm water – add a few drops at a time to get a gluey consistency, but not too runny. Frost with fingers and add toppings of choice.

Beat mixture one ingredient at a time by hand in a very large bowl. The texture should be slightly sticky while holding together when forming spoonful size balls. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes and let cool.

At Easter, frost with pastel colored frosting and sprinkle non parels on top. At Christmas, frost with white frosting and use coconut, chopped nuts and Christmas sprinkles.The sour cream is the secret to making them moist rather than dry. They are great with tea or coffee and very festive!
