1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
3 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 dram flavoring
2 - 3 drops food coloring
1 tbsp. powdered sugar

Directions:
Combine water, sugar and syrup in large saucepan; bring to boil. Cook until hard crack stage (checking with candy thermometer)

Take off heat and add flavoring and food coloring. Pour onto large Teflon cookie sheet or foil lined sheet. Let cool some but not completely.

Grease hands with Crisco to help keep hands/fingers from burning. Cut with knife or scissors and round sharp edges with fingers.Be careful, very hot! Place pieces in brown bag with powdered sugar. Shake well and remove.
