2/3 C- softened (room temp) Butter/Margarine
2/3 C -Brown Sugar
2 - Eggs
1 1/2 C - (uncooked) Oats/Oatmeal
1 1/2 C - Flour
1/2 tsp- Salt
1 tsp - Baking Powder
1/2 - Raisins (if desired for raisin oatmeal cookies)

Directions:

1. Blend first 3 ingredients together until smooth. 2. Combine last 4 dry ingredients together and add to wet mixture. 3.Drop by spoonfuls onto to baking sheet. 4. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.

I like my cookies soft. I learned to take them out of the oven 1 minute before they are done. Cookies will continue to cook on the baking sheet about 5 minutes after they are out of the oven.
