1 package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water, 105-115 degrees
2 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp oil or melted butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup Rye flour, pumpernickel Rye or light Rye flour
1 and 3/4 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add molasses and let stand for 3-5 minutes until yeast forms.

Stir in oil, salt and Rye flour. Stir in 1 cup bread flour. Beat 50 times.

Stir in remaining 3/4 cup bread flour.

Form into a 6 inch round in the center of greased round cake pan.

Let rise for 30 minutes. (I loosely cover the pan with a tea towel and put it in a draft-free place).

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25-35 minutes or until the loaf is slightly dark.
