1 box German chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients called for to prepare batter)
1 14 oz bag caramels, unwrapped
1 small (5 oz) can evaporated milk
2 T butter
1 bag semi sweet mini chocolate chips
1 c chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350º. Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Bake half of the batter in a 9x13 greased pan for 15 minutes. Melt caramels with milk and butter until smooth. Pour caramel mixture over partially baked cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and half of the pecans over the caramel mixture. Pour remaining cake mix batter over the top and sprinkle with remaining pecans. Bake for 30 minutes or until the center is set.
