1 1/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. dark cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups ( 12 oz. pkg. ) chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips or if you are a mint fan you can use peppermint extract in place of vanilla and use chocolate mint chips.

heat oven to 350º F. In a large mixer bowl beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla-beat well. Add dry ingredients and stir in the chips. Drop by teaspoonful's on to an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-9 minutes - cool for a minute and remove from the sheet to a wire rack.

These puff while baking and should still look a little moist when you take them out. They need to cool some before disturbing or they will fall apart.
