1 lb. N.Y. State sharp cheese, grated
1 lb.butter, softened
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon red pepper
Pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven to 375 degrees. Cream cheese with butter. Add salt and pepper. Stir in flour, cup by cup. Dough should be soft. Roll into small balls, about the size of a nickel or use a cookie press to create straws.
Press balls onto ungreased cookie sheets, sprinkle lightly with paprika, and top with pecan half. Bake for 12 minutes.
